Hello Crew!
I make order for 2 locos - CRI&P and 1 for undecorated FP7 kit. But my supplier - Modellbahnshop-Pirna says, that in this time models out of stock and unavailable.
I'm still waiting.
I think that price in 200 Euro for model is large but normal for limited edition series. These models must have an excellent traction because based on BR101 chassis, also noted that ones is supported DCC decoder (if compared with 240 Eurones of BR62).
But as all Tillig locs, FP7 also need in some modification (tuning). I'll change a stainless steel grill (can be found from Weinert), horn (some US operators has a biggest horns than Tillig proposed. Also can be found from Weinert), need add handrails, add 2 yellow super-mini LED's under front door stirrup-steps (from each side). Of course - add
decoder and re-programming front headlight to support Mars effect, because it's impossible to imagine the US railroad operation without Mars-effect, just like a modern Bundesbahn locos without verkehrsrot color.
1 undecorated unit I'll repainted into SOO Line colors - one from a many my favorite US paint schemes.
Also can be proposed not very difficult paint schemes like a Conrail, BN, KATY, Penn Central (I love this paint schemes - black with dirt-dust-shit and again shit! I never see "clear"/washing PennCentral locs, maybe PC stuff never wash locomotives or has problem with water).
For those who interesting in self-painting undecorated kit, I can send Microsoft Excel file with total FP7 roster. In this file I'm include all FP7 paint-schemes with external WEB-link to photos and pictures, include indexes of Microscale decals for each Railroad.
I'm also have info about Floquil/Testors colors that needing for re-painting US locomotives and exactly matches original colors of each railroads.
Have a Nice Railroading !
